wildflowers annual

Annuals perform an entire life cycle in one growing season.  A few months takes this plant from seed to a mature plant that typically dies off with the first hard frost in the fall.  These plants respond well to deadheading to remove old blooms and foliage leading to a fuller annual plant that produces even more flowers.  Some annuals also reseed themselves very well so they may appear to act as perennials depending on the climate.
